HAYSTACK MOUNTAIN SCHOOL OF CRAFTS
I had the incredible opportunity to study under Masa Sasaki for two weeks at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. While there, I learned a few different decorative and throwing techniques I will carry with me for the rest of my pottery career. Below are the pieces I made while in session.
I also worked with porcelain and earthenware for the first time.
Tempe Queer Takeover
My first gallery! Tempe Noise Takeover made an extension called Tempe Queer Takeover where they highlighted queer artists from around the valley. They also had local musicians performing at Rocket Space Gallery, Yucca Taproom, and Time Out Lounge. All of which had artworks on display through Tempe Queer Takeover. It was such an exciting moment to see my work with its own plaque.
